Chrissy Zimmerman, LPC
Counseling, Art Therapy, Drug & Alcohol Counseling
Chrissy Zimmerman is a Licensed Professional Counselor, an Art Therapist and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor offering group, individual, family and couples counseling to adults, children and adolescents.
Since receiving her Masters in 2005, Chrissy has continued to build her private practice while also working in diverse therapeutic settings. She strives to create a positive environment and build healthy, nurturing relationships with her clients, as these are ideal conditions for growth and healing. Her approach is client-centered and strengths-based. Chrissy works with the individual, couple and/or family to incorporate obtainable and realistic goals and often use art therapy interventions as an avenue for expression and exploration. Exploring through art provides an opportunity to process, organize and reshape feelings and thoughts.
Children are a complete joy to work with and Chrissy appreciates this opportunity on a daily basis! Helping youth thrive is Chrissy’s primary focus. Every parent wants the very best for his or her child. But when children are faced with difficult or complex emotional issues, their lack of life experience and coping skills can make those issues extremely difficult to overcome. Chrissy vows to treat every member of your family with compassion and respect in order to establish the trusting, nurturing relationships it takes to bring about real and lasting change.
