Eric DiIlio, LPC operates his private practice Counseling With Nature ( here at Portland Family Health.  He is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides engaged, insightful, and innovative therapy.  Eric has been a mental health counselor in many capacities since graduation from Lewis & Clark College (Portland, OR) in 2010. There he obtained a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and had a focus on Ecopsychology and Wilderness Therapy. He has also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education from Penn State University. Eric has had counseling experience in mental health outpatient clinics, child and family therapy programs, and various community settings.

Eric encourages balance, and he strives for balance in his practice. With that said, he will combine well-researched and highly effective contemporary approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with age-old, irreplaceable therapeutic nurturing that comes from experiences with the natural environment.  At Portland Family Health, he conducts sessions in the comfortable and peaceful yurt that is on the property as well as in the therapeutic well-lit office on the 2nd floor of the clinic.

Many insurance plans are accepted (Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon, other regional Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, BridgeSpan, Aetna, Pacific Source, Optum, Providence, United Behavioral Health/US Behavioral Health Plan, United EAP, & Pacific Care.).  Eric does not bill “Out Of Network”.  Out-of-Pocket (self-pay) fee is $100 per 50 minute session.

Eric welcomes working with individuals age 18 and up. He can help with a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD/abuse, relationship troubles, men’s issues, parenting, career counseling, panic/phobia, grief/loss, life transitions, stress management, time management, self-esteem, & personal growth.

Eric has long had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, skiing, camping, as well as outings near and far with his wife, son, and dog.
