Nicole Bendotoff, LM, CPM
Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife
Nicole’s decision to become a midwife was inspired by an enduring fascination with the process of pregnancy and birth, and a deep love of watching things grow. After 8 years of organic vegetable farming, the transition to birth work felt very natural. Our bodies are amazing with their strength, flexibility, adaptability and beauty, and Nicole truly enjoys supporting women and their partners during this intimate experience.
As a midwife, one of Nicole’s most important roles is to help women and families understand their choices surrounding birth and providing support so that they can make the best possible informed decisions for themselves. She believes that when women and families feel empowered, it is more likely to result in a positive birth experience, no matter how the birth evolves.
Nicole has been attending births since 2009 and became a Midwife in August of 2013 after completing 4 years of study and apprenticeship at Birthingway College of Midwifery. She gave birth to her first son in February of 2013; an experience that only heightened her compassion and understanding of both childbearing and parenting. Nicole is excited to work with many more families in this incredible and challenging transition.
